First things first, why would I ever post a blog with such a blatant title as Forget About The Network Marketing Reviews, “Why I Chose LegalShield?”
Warning: This is where I start telling some network marketing secrets that might make me a bit unpopular with the “unbiased review” crowd who want you to believe that they really wrote unbiased reviews.
Part One: My Reasons For The Title.
So why would a professional hit you with such an “in-your-face” kinda title in the first place? Well, just to get it out of the way, it’s because the title and statement is 110% truth. I am completely one of the faces of the LegalShield opportunity and I chose the company after careful consideration. I can say it without hesitation, so why is this one of the most difficult of “transparent” task for most network marketing professionals online? It’s because most reviews by network marketing professionals online are written to direct you to make a decision about their own opportunity under the “tom-lee-fakery” of an unbiased opinion (no matter what company or subject the review is about). I’m just beating you to the punch and letting you know what my motives are upfront instead of being a sales guy trying to lure you in with what they call “perceived value” about a company that I may or may not even care about. By the way, I’m completely with LegalShield and this is the only company I will be with. (I’ll get more into the “why” of it all in a little bit.)
Part Two: What Is LegalShield (and why do they seem so familiar)?
Legal Shield is the new branding of what is formerly Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. Established in 1972 in order to provide a need for everyday people in North America to have affordable access and the ability to talk to an attorney on ANY matter without worrying about the high hourly cost of seeking and taking advantage of legal counsel. The concept actually came into existence as a result of Harland Stonecipher (then an insurance professional) being sued for a traffic accident by the very person who was at fault. His idea was based on the fact that people have life insurance for their lives, health insurance for their bodies and auto insurance to protect damages done to their cars, but no legal access to protect their legal rights. The addition of Identity Theft Shield has only bolstered the services provided across the United States and Canada. The network marketing delivery model was chosen because it was the fastest, cost-effective and most empowering solution to exposing the services to the masses.
Fast forward to 2011, the company operates within a network of 1.4 million active memberships with a proprietary system of provider law firms that cover nationwide in the U.S. and 4 provinces in North America. Now owned by the New York-based equity group, Mid-Ocean Partners, and under the leadership of CEO Rip Mason and President Alan Fearnley, LegalShield is perfectly positioned to move into the critical mass momentum that the company’s 40 year history has diligently prepared itself for.
Part Three: 6 Reasons Why Is LegalShield My Final Network Marketing Choice?
Now, if I haven’t made someone angry yet, this part will get under the skin of some network marketers. Before I go into it, let me preface all of what may be seen as “bashing other network marketing companies” with my “LegalShield is better than your business” stuff, this is not my aim at all. (Mainly because a network marketing professional would never sink to that level because it’s extremely bush league.) I am simply, but confidently aware of the opportunity that I have, that I offer and what other opportunities are out there in the marketplace both past and present. The majority of this is what I’ve seen from being approached by several leaders and friends who are in various opportunities as well as seeing the various strategies first hand as a distributor in a few different companies myself. With all that said, here’s why LegalShield stands alone in the network marketing and direct sales industry:
There’s no need to be vague or clandestine when exposing what I do or the opportunity I’m involved with and the LegalShield brand speaks to the credibility of my own branding efforts in the network marketing industry.
My service is not limited to attracting those who want to lose weight, have cheaper utility bills, drink healthy, instant coffee, enjoy discounted cell phone services, collect gold and silver coins, sell affiliate information products, etc… Actually, the LegalShield suite of services are currently used by individuals and families involved in these industries. Legal rights protection, affordable access to legal counsel Identity Theft Shield are services that everyone needs and can use… Even while drinking instant coffee, enjoying a shake or collecting coins over the phone.
One of the most impressive feats about the LegalShield opportunity is it is one of the only companies inside of network marketing that has the infrastructure, legal network or financial fitness it has built up in the 40 year history of the company. The reason why so many nutrition, juice, skin care and beverage companies exist in the network marketing world is because the barrier to entry for such companies is accessible. Nothing is wrong with a particular marketplace being easy to enter because it breeds competition, but with the niche that LegalShield occupies, the barrier is simply too high for another “Me-Too” company to sprout up and effectively service the niche. There’s a tremendous amount of value in being alone in a vital, necessary and significantly under-served niche.
Most network marketing companies can exaggerate the purchase prices for their products, mostly to justify the money the company pays out to the field over various distributor levels. This is mostly common in the juice, coffee, health and wellness and nutritional/skin care opportunities (because who really pays $40 for a beverage they would have done so anyway?) That’s why the importance of being on autoship is continuously stressed. If you don’t feed the beast lots of volume then the beast cannot spit out small amounts of cash. In contrast, energy and phone service opportunities trim the profits that are paid out so think, that there is no real opportunity for a network marketer to earn a significant income unless they acquire a massive number of customers. With the LegalShield product, you earn based on memberships only. In fact, an Associate has the unique opportunity to earn the income they want by marketing just the services, although most Associates are trained on the benefits of leveraging their efforts by building a team as well. Earnings are also adjustable by the Associate, meaning the Associate can opt to receive compensation from the sale of the covered plans “as-earned” (dollar for dollar) or as “advanced commissions” (payment based on the 12 month value of the membership). Most memberships remain in effect due to the singular fact that the value of the service is actively exercised by people over a significant period of time because it is a “right-now” benefit.
Often referred to as “Renewals” (the “as-earned” commission earned monthly once the legal plan membership has matured beyond the 12th month). Regardless of status (Member or Associate), a person can use their legal plan and Identity Theft Shield from month one. Maintaining the membership can be justified by practical application.
One common theme in the network marketing industry is popular periods of growth in popular industries. When LegalShield was founded in 1972, the rolling popular trend was nutritional and skin care products, Following that trend (in order) was the deregulation of the phone industry, insurance discount plans, web malls, cell phones and utility services, exotic juices, health and wellness products, precious metals, fitness and coffee/beverage trends. Another constant is that LegalShield has been the same opportunity with the same focus building the same success stories for 40 years. There’s value in being consistent with the mission of changing the face of the legal system in the most powerful country in the world.
Now some may see value in this type of network marketing review, and some may get upset. I say that both are acceptable. I also will say that no matter what the industry, product or service you and/or your company promotes, the fact will not matter if you do not take decisive, determined, focused and massive action and advantage of the opportunity that you choose. Is the LegalShield opportunity or you? Only you can determine that. Is the LegalShield suite of services for you? Once again, that’s based on your need and what you place value on, but I can speak from experience, it has been a blessing in my life and that of my family members (even when I was promoting a few of the other companies in the industry). Most of the opportunities you come across have their pros and cons and I have friends who are making very significant incomes inside each of the major industries that make up the network marketing galaxy. My personal opinion just happens to also be my personal conviction and primary business opportunity.
